International Cooperation Symposium on Universities of Applied Sciences

Theme:Develop International and High-level Universities of Applied Sciences---Exploration and Practice
Time:  October 19 13:30-19 17:00,2018
Room:308

CurrentlyChina's local universities are facing such obstacles as insufficient top-level design, insufficient incentive for reforming and existing institutional constraints, in transforming themselves into Universities of Applied Sciences. As early as the end of the last century, Europe, the United States and other countries successfully transformed local universities into the applied science type, each with its own characteristics. In the context of innovation-driven development, Made in China 2025, Internet+, mass innovation and education, and the national strategy of the “Belt and Road” initiative, local colleges and universities must seize opportunities to connect China and foreign countries, learn from each other, and discover their own focus and breakthrough in transition, thus to enhance services for regional economic and social development and technological advancement of the industry and enterprises.

We must speed up the integration of regional economic and social development, and seize opportunities to develop new industries, new business, and new technologies. Platforms should be established for cooperation and development of the industry and enterprises, and the training model of the skilled personnel be reformed, application-driven innovation capabilities can be enhanced.

This symposium will invite Chinese and foreign experts and scholars to jointly discuss the development concepts and implementation approach of the Universities of Applied Sciences, and provide a useful reference for China's local colleges and universities.
